Current blockchain transaction semantics are broken. About 15% of submitted transactions fail. The high rate of failure is due to the swap-centric nature of blockchain transaction flows. Block producers optimize for highest nominal value transactions/bundles/blocks in a rigid linear model of blocktime. Consequently, many nominally “low value” transactions and/or transactions from less experienced transactors fail.
Smart transactions is enhanced transactions semantics. STXN processes optimize for transaction inclusion/success (failure minimization), honoring transactors’ intents.
